Best Gifts for Teachers

Best gifts for teachers. The holidays are a great time to acknowledge the awesome job our teachers do with our kids. But they can only use so many “best teacher ever” coffee mugs. In fact, once they have one, they’re pretty much done! I am a big believer in giving teachers something super useful — and a lot of that depends on how well you know the teacher.

[easyazon-image align=”right” asin=”B005ESMG96″ locale=”us” height=”160″ src=”http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/518IJVzMTOL._SL160_.jpg” width=”147″]Some room moms like to collect a group gift so no one child feels uncomfortable without something in hand.  If everyone pitches in with whatever they can contribute you can get a sizable donation and have all the kids sign the card. Another great option I have seen is a “gift card bouquet,” where families donate a gift card to any store — in any amount — and then you put them together with the flower picks like a bouquet of flowers. It’s cute and very useful!

If you’re a room mom, or know one, you also might ask the teacher for his/her top gift card choices that you can share with the other parents, so they have an idea what would be most appreciated. You can never go wrong with something general, like [easyazon-link asin=”B005ESMG96″ locale=”us”]Amazon[/easyazon-link] or Target, but maybe they would love some new running shoes from a sporting goods store or something specific. Maybe they love Starbucks — or are more of a Jamba Juice person!

But, there are many who want to choose something special to wrap up and that can be fun for your child.

Here are some of the best gifts for teachers I have found (affiliate links). Be sure to add in a personalized note from you and your child about why they are so special, and then choose one of these things that will make their day a little brighter in the new year.

1. Teachers are on the move all day and they should get credit for all the steps they take — they really add up to be a great workout! Give [easyazon-link asin=”B003NCSM3E” locale=”us”]a pedometer[/easyazon-link] so they can see that all that effort really adds up — just like all the effort they put into our kids!

[easyazon-image align=”center” asin=”B003NCSM3E” locale=”us” height=”160″ src=”http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/41vE1iFN3YL._SL160_.jpg” width=”118″][easyazon-image align=”center” asin=”B008WNR5K0″ locale=”us” height=”97″ src=”http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/41VKlxqkEjL._SL160_.jpg” width=”160″][easyazon-image align=”center” asin=”B004FG0E9C” locale=”us” height=”137″ src=”http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/51cnPYSjwYL._SL160_.jpg” width=”160″]

2. Teachers love coffee, but they can’t leave the room for a refresh. How about [easyazon-link asin=”B0017IHRNM” locale=”us”]a great thermos[/easyazon-link] that he or she can use to bring plenty of coffee from home?

[easyazon-image align=”center” asin=”B0017IHRNM” locale=”us” height=”160″ src=”http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/31JhZ4t9iaL._SL160_.jpg” width=”56″][easyazon-image align=”center” asin=”B00849L4AE” locale=”us” height=”160″ src=”http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/41Cw0U-n6JL._SL160_.jpg” width=”73″][easyazon-image align=”center” asin=”B00009V4FM” locale=”us” height=”160″ src=”http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/31yFXwCdFXL._SL160_.jpg” width=”67″]

3. Teachers don’t get to just run out for lunch so consider a lunch box that’s fun and useful.

[easyazon-image align=”center” asin=”B0084DZ582″ locale=”us” height=”160″ src=”http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/51cfks77doL._SL160_.jpg” width=”160″][easyazon-image align=”center” asin=”B00B78WO3U” locale=”us” height=”160″ src=”http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/41fykpJjAML._SL160_.jpg” width=”160″][easyazon-image align=”center” asin=”B001P5GJJU” locale=”us” height=”160″ src=”http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/518nOFdhrGL._SL160_.jpg” width=”160″]

4. Teachers know that the day can change on a moment’s notice! Help them — and their students — roll with it with this funny [easyazon-link asin=”B00EKKME1O” locale=”us”]”Keep Calm”[/easyazon-link] sign. And just think how much a substitute will love seeing it in their room![easyazon-image align=”center” asin=”B00EKKME1O” locale=”us” height=”160″ src=”http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/31AGebWj8tL._SL160_.jpg” width=”160″]

5. Teachers are so busy giving our kids a great holiday experience, that sometimes their own families get a little neglected. What about giving them some [easyazon-link asin=”B000YQJWOK” locale=”us”]lovely cookies[/easyazon-link] they can share with their own families.

[easyazon-image align=”undefined” asin=”B000YQJWOK” locale=”us” height=”120″ src=”http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/510-rP1AOaL._SL160_.jpg” width=”160″][easyazon-image align=”center” asin=”B0064RANJG” locale=”us” height=”148″ src=”http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/41i3UehBGiL._SL160_.jpg” width=”160″][easyazon-image align=”center” asin=”B000BYSN7C” locale=”us” height=”160″ src=”http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/51zxn0JXbCL._SL160_.jpg” width=”160″]

6. Classrooms are petri dishes of germs with all those kids around. Why not get some fancy, [easyazon-link asin=”B00CSFUBRW” locale=”us”]deliciously smelling hand sanitizer[/easyazon-link]? It can chafe the hands though so add some [easyazon-link asin=”B002U0KUTE” locale=”us”]rich hand cream[/easyazon-link].

[easyazon-image align=”center” asin=”B00CSFUBRW” locale=”us” height=”124″ src=”http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/51GwuOF7YlL._SL160_.jpg” width=”160″][easyazon-image align=”center” asin=”B002U0KUTE” locale=”us” height=”160″ src=”http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/31LR7WGT0ZL._SL160_.jpg” width=”53″]

7. Does your teacher sometimes have recess duty? Keep her covered with a bright, cheery [easyazon-link asin=”B000VKK8VK” locale=”us”]umbrella[/easyazon-link].

[easyazon-image align=”center” asin=”B000VKK8VK” locale=”us” height=”154″ src=”http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/51Iw2%2BldzEL._SL160_.jpg” width=”160″][easyazon-image align=”center” asin=”B004Q1SEZW” locale=”us” height=”149″ src=”http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/41E9JmsgfFL._SL160_.jpg” width=”160″][easyazon-image align=”center” asin=”B003WEXW4M” locale=”us” height=”144″ src=”http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/51Rxf-%2BV7RL._SL160_.jpg” width=”160″]

8. Sometimes the classroom can get chilly and this [easyazon-link asin=”B00EEX6Q66″ locale=”us”]cardigan[/easyazon-link] is both stylish and cozy.

[easyazon-image align=”center” asin=”B00EEX6Q66″ locale=”us” height=”160″ src=”http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/41YDYJY5i5L._SL160_.jpg” width=”124″][easyazon-image align=”center” asin=”B008BOIZWC” locale=”us” height=”160″ src=”http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/41fpeUbnFbL._SL160_.jpg” width=”124″][easyazon-image align=”center” asin=”B00CTZQUC6″ locale=”us” height=”160″ src=”http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/31oXRFRUepL._SL160_.jpg” width=”75″]

9. Teachers are always looking for something for the kids to do when they are done with their work. [easyazon-link asin=”B000GVSO4C” locale=”us”]Rush Hour[/easyazon-link] is not only a fun game but one that teaches logic skills.

10. Not sure what he or she would want? You know you can’t go wrong with a [easyazon-link asin=”B004LLIKVU” locale=”us”]gift card[/easyazon-link]!
