Family Picture Ideas for Lifetime Memories

Family picture ideas.Does looking through your photos trying to find one that’s holiday-card-worthy make you realize how many awesome pictures you have? Here are some family picture ideas to make the most of your great shots…instead of just leaving them on the memory card or on your computer.

1.  Make photo gifts for your family and friends.

Many photo sharing websites allow you to make calendars, mugs, photo books, magnets and much more. Use your great shots to make cool designs and professional products you will be proud to give, and they will love to receive.

2.  Find some cool frames.

Got great Halloween photos? Or back-to-school photos? Or even just ones of [easyazon-link asin=”B00ENI5UD2″ locale=”us”]different seasons[/easyazon-link]? Find [easyazon-link asin=”B00BC2CBC0″ locale=”us”]themed frames[/easyazon-link] and really set off your photos. If you decide to do special frames for Halloween, the holidays and the like, pack them away with your other decorations so they look fresh when you bring them out.

Most people make digital scrapbooks these days, but there’s something cool about using your two hands to create something. Don’t we all spend too much time in front of the computer anyway? And a [easyazon-link asin=”B004BG3FEC” locale=”us”]physical scrapbook[/easyazon-link] allows you to add in mementoes like ticket stubs or programs to capture the memory even better.

4.  Use a [easyazon-link asin=”B008MW6Y12″ locale=”us”]digital frame[/easyazon-link].

These are fun to have out on a table or your desk. Update the photos every now and then but keep some throwback ones of your little ones so you can ‘remember when.’

5.  Go Warhol-sequel.

Google pop art photo canvasses and see all the options that pop up. Making your favorite photo into a piece of art makes a great gift to yourself or someone else.

6.  Create a gallery.

Buy multiple frames in various sizes and shapes, but all the same color, say, black wood. Hang them on a stairwell or down a hall, or behind a couch. What makes better art than your own family?

7.  Frame artfully.

I love the look of a smaller photo inside a large mat – it feels so “art gallery.” They can be black and white or color. Focus on one small detail, like tiny hands or feet to really make a statement with the photo.

What are some family picture ideas you have? I love to hear what others do to display these precious memories!
